Picture the dreariest weather from the saddest pages of Dickens. THAT'S what it looks like out my window most of the winter.  This new extravagantly bright piece is my way of fighting back.

 

 

      The Hockaday Museum hosted an elegant dinner, art auction, music and dancing last November7 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Several artists were invited to complete a painting at the event. The music was delightful and everyone was in a festive mood.

     The first weekend in October was the date for the MPA's paintout in Glacier National Park. We stayed at Duck Lake Lodge near Babb. The weather was turning to winter each day we were there. The leaves were green on Thursday and Yellow and Orange by Sunday.  I painted several studies which are posted below.

      One study I did on Saturday resulted in the entry piece for "The Russell, the sale to benefit the C.M. Russell Museum". It is entitled "Wrapped in Clouds".

 

 

      I just finished an oil painting workshop with Matt Smith. The weather was exciting, the company joyful and the information was valuable. I'll post some photos of the workshop and new oils in the near future.

I just finished a four day paintout with images of the Missoula and Ovando areas. Look for the opening on "First Friday" August 8th at the Dana Gallery.
