I will be participating in the Coer d'Alene Galleries Third Annual Miniatures by the Lake show. The show dates are Friday, September 10th through September 24th. During that time all artwork will be displayed in the Coeur d'Alene Galleries for public viewing and bidding. A reception/sale will be Friday, September 24th from 6-8pm with a draw at 7:30pm.

 

I will be participating in the Dana Galleries eighth annual western Montana Paint Out. This means five days of painting in Missoula and surrounding areas, cumulating in a month long exhibit to be held at the Dana Gallery. The opening will be held on Wednesday, July 21 where you will have an opportunity to meet all the participating artists.

I am participating in the Third Annual Plein Air Paint-Out. This year we are celebrating the Centennial of Glacier National Park by painting in various locations throughout the park.

Artists will be painting June 23-25. The art exhibition and sale will be June 26th at the HMA in Kalispell, as well as June 28th-July 11th at the Going to the Sun Gallery in Whitefish.

Several of my paintings will be shown in the "Dana Gallery All Stars Show" June 16th

     My painting entitled "Valley Brook" was selected for the Dana Gallery's annual "Celebrate Missoula Artists" show this year. The dates for the show are the first two weeks in June. The openings have been a great time for all the Missoula artists to meet one another.

      The Hockaday Museum hosted an elegant dinner, art auction, music and dancing last November7 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Several artists were invited to complete a painting at the event. The music was delightful and everyone was in a festive mood.

     The first weekend in October was the date for the MPA's paintout in Glacier National Park. We stayed at Duck Lake Lodge near Babb. The weather was turning to winter each day we were there. The leaves were green on Thursday and Yellow and Orange by Sunday.  I painted several studies which are posted below.

      One study I did on Saturday resulted in the entry piece for "The Russell, the sale to benefit the C.M. Russell Museum". It is entitled "Wrapped in Clouds".

 

 

      I just finished an oil painting workshop with Matt Smith. The weather was exciting, the company joyful and the information was valuable. I'll post some photos of the workshop and new oils in the near future.

I just finished a four day paintout with images of the Missoula and Ovando areas. Look for the opening on "First Friday" August 8th at the Dana Gallery.
